Dream A Lil Dream Policy

Dream A Lil Dreams Policy

Here at Dream A Lil Dream the health and well-being of our dogs and puppies always comes first. We were trained by a licensed veterinarian to properly remove and care for tail/dew claw docking. Puppies will receive 1 health exam, and if needed any medical/surgical procedures. Growing up with animals and working on a farm we have learned to do our own vaccines. We do purchase the same high-quality vaccines veterinarians use. (Please do not allow your vet to talk you into starting over as it is not necessary) Have your vet contact us if that comes up. We DO NOT by law administer rabies, this must be administered by a licensed veterinarian.

Our dogs and puppies have a home for life, meaning if at any time owners are no longer able to care for them for any reason, they are welcome to come back here no questions asked. We don’t buy them back but will seek to find them a forever home so they will never know a shelter.

All puppies come with a 1-year health guarantee against genetic diseases. That have not been disclosed through testing. You will be provided a copy of both parents genetic testing for your file. This does not include communicable diseases (Parvo, Distemper, Internal/ External Parasites, Heartworms, Kennel cough, or Coccidioidomycosis).

To the best of my knowledge, each puppy is in healthy and sound condition at the time of sale.  Buyer has 24 hours (48 Hours on weekends or holidays) from the time of pickup to have a vet check done by a licensed veterinarian. Buyer is required to have a licensed veterinarian administer remaining vaccinations needed to protect puppy from disease.  Parvo and distemper vaccines must be given at three-week intervals following first vaccine that we have given.

Seller is not financially responsible for the animal once it leaves our care at Dream A Lil Dream. (You are responsible for all vet bills and other fees incurred for your dog again once it leaves our care). That said we are always willing to help whenever we can. Please call us immediately with any concerns. Seller cannot be responsible for Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or the effects of any stress related illness due to travel/rehoming. We recommend using Purina Pro Plan with probiotics during the initial transition to your home.

All puppies are sold on limited registration ( pet only ). Unless we have agreed otherwise, which will be stated in the contract. We advise to wait till your puppy is a year old to spay/ neuter as the hormones help the puppies grow.

All dogs in our breeding program are registered as ASDR Australian Shepherds and are not eligible or permitted to be taken to another breed ( ex: Miniature American Shepherd). This goes for their offspring as well, they must stay Australian Shepherds.
